He’s playing in a shutdown role and he cant handle it. He’s a solid 2nd pairing defenseman (or #2 if he’s playing with a borderline elite LD) but he’s being paid like a #1. Fox is a great two way defenseman and deangelo is better than trouba offensively, so I see no reason why they should hold onto trouba. I feel like they’ll regret not moving him in 2 years when he has a NMC and fox needs a new contract.

this makes a lot of sense. I see a lot of DeAngelo trades, assuming he's the odd man out. Why not Trouba? He's the worst one of the 3

Yeah he has the 3rd worst GAR among defenseman in the NHL , not having the best year.

If he didn’t have a NMC, I’d say keep him and trade him in a few years.
