Description
Here are some trades proposed by other team ACGMs (Or that other team ACGMs said they'd be willing to deal with/around something like that) that I thought made sense for both teams and could be discussed a little more.
Obviously I'm not saying Montreal should do everyone of them but what I've found interesting is that even by making all of them (If only one of the Blues deal gets done) we end up being cap compliant and the team would look pretty nice! I don't think these trades would make the team tank as some immediate help would be coming in on top of future assets (Depending on which trades are made).
Signing Kovalchuk and Leivo would make them place holders until Hirose and Caufield/Ylönen shows up and perform with Montreal.

Tell me what do you guys think about those moves,
Give me the top 3 you'd be most interested to see Marc do and your "No way man"! (You can only pick from those. No modifications can be made and no new trade can be proposed by homers)

*Disclaimer: Those moves aren't mine, I just thought they were interesting enough to warrant extra attention from us. They were seen on other teams mock GMs either proposed to Montreal or other teams. I've made Leivo and Kovalchuk's signings to give the team a proper lineup and get a better idea of what it could look like.

Trades
1.
MTL
  1. Hirose, Taro [RFA Rights]
Additional Details:
Adding a left wing prospect to our team could be a good idea especially at this price. He's shown lots of good things as a playmaker and if ready could give a hand to our PP, at worst we're giving a 4th to get immediate help in Laval. Good deal.
DET
  1. 2021 4th round pick (VGK)
Additional Details:
I don't know why I see so much trades on Detroit ACGMs but I'd gladly take a shot for a 4th (Which is the pick usually sent back).
2.
MTL
  1. Gostisbehere, Shayne
Additional Details:
Takeaway his 2019-20 season, he's an offensive weapon racking up points. Entering his prime with three years left on a cap friendly contract and he fixes a top 4 weakness, what's not to love about this addition?
Juulsen hasn't progressed due to injuries and with Brook/Fleury he can be moved without creating a hole.
PHI
  1. Juulsen, Noah [RFA Rights]
  2. 2020 2nd round pick (STL)
Additional Details:
Yes we do send out a talented former first rounder but damn those injuries did take a toll. I do feel his ceiling now is just being a good third liner if he can stay healthy. If he does become something greater at least we've cashed in and got a talented player for him instead of sending him out of town for close to nothing (Yes looking at you Scherbak and McCarron).
Philly does open a spot (An healthy scratch spot I guess?) and cap space while receiving a 2nd rounder ... You never know what comes out of that!
3.
MTL
  1. Heinola, Ville
  2. Perreault, Mathieu
  3. 2020 1st round pick (WPG)
Additional Details:
Montreal gets a-nother- very good left defense prospect and the 17th overall pick in this year's draft. A nice haul for a guy that I love but that could be expandable for such a haul. Perrault coming back helps Winnipeg shed salary and saves them a contract spot.

Another trade I enjoyed reading/dealing is Kaut, Sampo and 2020 1st (29th) for Domi and 2020 3rd (MTL). Those two prospects are more boom-or-bust than Heinola and could pay big but the 12 spot difference is quite heavy and tips the scale in Winnipeg's favor.
WPG
  1. Domi, Max [RFA Rights]
Additional Details:
2. 2020 2nd round pick (STL)

They get an excellent 2C that plays with grit and can rack up points.
Montreal could do this trade this summer if contract talks stalls or mid season if they feel like Danault, Suzuki and KK are the real deal going forward. Domi would become a third line LW at roughly 5-6M$? I don't see that being good on the long term -cap wise-.
4.
MTL
  1. Bozak, Tyler
  2. Steen, Alexander
  3. 2021 1st round pick (STL)
Additional Details:
*Only one of them. Bozak might be easier to move as he only got a M-ntc.
Blues obviously saves cap and Montreal gets a nice bottom 6 depth. St-Louis picking 30th is pretty late so Montreal can take their time and with odds on their side they take a 2021 1st and hope for a higher one.
STL
  1. 2020 5th round pick (FLA)
Additional Details:
Trade happens if there isn't any CBO.
A regular buyout would save the Blues about 2.3M$ and sending them down only 1M$ so trading -at least- one of them away could once again clear cap to sign their captain or hunt FAs.
5.
MTL
  1. Allen, Jake
Additional Details:
St-Louis dumps an overpaid backup goaltender without retaining a penny which makes -some- space available to keep Pietrangelo in town maybe?
For Montreal the interesting fact in this trade is that when playing less than 40 games per year Allen's quite effective, see for yourself; 2014-15, 2.28 / .913 and 2019-20, 2.15 / .927. He could be a solid backup -able to handle the reigns for a short period of time if Price's sick for a week or something- giving Primeau time to develop.
STL
  1. Byron, Paul
Additional Details:
St-Louis gets a bottom six winger a little overpaid but he can burn anyone on the ice, kills PK and makes scoring chances out of it with his excellent stick positioning. Also if Blues end up buying out one of Bozak/Steen they've got a very -different- good replacement for him.
Montreal does lose an excellent locker guy but sheds off some cap to resign their 1st line next summer.

Heinola has so much potential I don't think Winnipeg would trade him. Dude was playing top pairing minutes and had 5 points in 8 games

Why you see so many Detroit trades. My guess is Detroit is rebuilding and most of the time rebuilding teams have plenty of cap. This isn't the case with Detroit thanks to Ken Holland Detroit has several untradeable players. Detroit has a lot of needs and the worst record so teams looking to move mediocre players to free up cap space Detroit is option one because of their draft position. This years draft Detroit has the first pick in rounds 2-7.

With the Detroit trade I wouldn't make it. How ever its close to even and this trade or one like it will probably happen in the offseason.

I dont see the need for the Ghost trade if we are adding Romanov, Heinola, and keeping Mete (healthy scratch??). I also don't see how any trade with Juulsen makes sense, there is too much uncertainty with his injuries that its impossible to put a value on him.

This is a good example of a Domi trade MTL fans would get behind. A good D prospect, a pick (or a pick upgrade in this case). The bad contract coming back offsets Domi's cap hit. It's a good idea. I don't know if WPG would go for it, but it fits MTL's needs.

Habs would have Romanov, Heinola, Norlinder, Struble, Harris etc., all very promising LD prospects.

The STL deals should be simplified to just one, I believe Lindgren and a conditional pick for Allen works for both sides.

STL will have to look elsewhere to dump bozak or Steen.
