The blues will have to make some creative trades and Pietrangelo will have to take a pay cut. With Scandella signed, I think he has no choice but to walk.

I am pretty sure Blues fans have comented he has turned down 8.5m aav deal. I think if you want to shorten up the term in the 5-6 year range, you are going to have to get that in the 9m-10m range

Petro could get his 9 million if Armstrong trades Gunnarsson and Allen and gets a compliance buyout on Steen. Those are players with 1 yr left and some on-ice value. Without a CBO, he would have to be more creative - Steen and Bozak have trade protection and not many teams will have much cap space to work with.

With the cap unlikely to go up I can't imagine any team giving up much for Bozak.
