I doubt he's on the table, outside of Fabbro Nashville's defensive prospect pool is awful right now. He's also significantly underpaid for what he does and is a team leader. If preds flunk out next year they may look to move him as a rental and retool but I can't see them trading him without some sort of contingency plan in place

When Ellis was injured, Ekholm played with Josi and played some of his best hockey actually. Got more points - solid hockey. But that could be due to Josi or maybe his increased ice time at even strength and PP/PK
