Description

Not knowing other teams needs yet, the trades are just frameworks, not necessarily teams/players/picks that might be realistic:
- Leo & Hickey dumped for picks and cap space.
- Leddy for a pick and a relatively cheap, useful bottom six guy with minimal term.
- Boychuk with salary retained for pick. Two years of Boychuk at a $3mm cap hit seems like something someone might be interested in.

RFAs:
Barzal gets a contract similar to what Point got last year. Pulock and Toews are guesses as to what they might get; probably off by a few bucks and a year or two in either direction. Sorokin's contract assumes the NHL lets the Isles sign him to finish out 2020 and burn his ELC.

With all that, not a ton of cap space, but Craig Smith seems like a guy that might be a good fit on this roster, and probably wont break the bank.

Ladd gets a CBO (if that happens) or shipped off to Robidas Island never to be heard from again.

Going to be a tough summer for the Isles, that’s a team friendly deal for Barzal and a big offer sheet could come to make things trickier. Isles have some yucky contracts that teams might not want to take on so this seems like a dream outcome to me.
