Description
with the cap not moving and the need to sign Pietrangelo you need cap space so what would be the price of Jake Allen and Vince Dunn toghether?

I see many trade from STL fans : Allen for a 3rd or 4th round so i know a little bit about his value in a trade
Vince Dunn value is a mistery (personaly i think its kinda high) most of you give him a bridge contract 2x2.75m but you put him in 1st duo ,2nd duo and 3rd duo so where his he in your system , how do you see him , what is his value (in a trade )?do you have young guy in your prospect pool to take his place if he's traded or want someone cheaper in return ?

because many team will try to make cap space when the season end what do you think the return can be for them ? : a 2nd round , a cheap backup goalie , a cheap bottom 6 def
or do you have specific need you have to fill ?

and yes because i am a habs fan i m gonna try with my team

The Blues should not consider trading Dunn for anything less than a top-15 pick

I’ll preface this with the fact that the scenario where we trade Dunn is less likely than us letting Petro walk. I think STL would want to move up in the draft to restock the prospect pool, but also a replacement. I’d propose, depending on who’s available at #9, Dunn, Blais, and our 2020 1st for Mete, Poehling and your 2020 1st.

There isnt a big enough difference between Mete and Dunn to warrant adding anything else to that trade

Montreal is not going to get pinched into overpaying to a team in cap hell. If you want our first you will need to pay, take out Blais whom we have zero need for and add Thomas, also add Allen and we will add an additional 2020 3rd (WSH) and Ylonen and just to even it out I would also send back your 2020 2nd(STL) ...so it would be Dunn + Thomas + Allen + 2020 1st(STL) for Mete + Poehling + Ylonen + 2020 1st (MTL) + 2020 2nd (STL) + 2020 3rd(WSH)

interesting idea i say yes to that depending who's available at #9 and where you draft too . if the guy we want his gone and yours is not everyone can be happy as i see it : Dunn for #9 high price but ok , Poehling for around #25 high price but ok we are even , Blais for Mete ok for me. so basicaly a good offer, great job.

if we got #9 again if the guy we want to draft his gone and we trade down a couple of spot i can see it happening let say we accept #9 for around #15 and a second round then trade #15 for Dunn then its ok but if we fall around #15 because we beat PIT but lost in the first round its kinda the worse scenario for us not ready for it yet .
