I don't think Edmonton's going to go for that. I personally wouldn't give much more for him, but it doesn't seem like Edmonton will sell him off for that.

Drouin probably isn't getting you a top pairing LD either. I like him, but it certainly hasn't lived up to his potential, and while Dallas is said to be looking for offence, if they make this trade, all of the sudden their looking for defence. No point digging one hole to fill another. They've actually got some wiggle room to go after someone like Dadonov once free agency hits.

2) We're taking $9.35M off St-Louis's books and all we're getting are picks in the 60 and 90 range? That's not enough. Good prospect plus a 2nd would be needed, minimum IMO.
3) I like the Lindell trade, but I think Dallas values him too highly for Drouin.

Whut? Dallas' using LTIR money right now and are loosing that relief next year. Where's the wiggle room when they have to resign Hintz, Gurianov and oh Heiskanen in the next two years with having not much coming off the books? There'll be about 5.5M$ savings with Cog and Comeau's contracts coming to an end but other contracts ending are fairly cheap with no overpaid players leaving and with five of their 6 biggest contract on NMC the more likely to be moved is Lindell and with Heiskanen and Harley they'll still have a decent top four.
