The Jets shouldn't do any out them. We need to stop wasting youth and assets on rentals, so no on Getzlaf.

I'd rather the Jets just keep pick 10.

It's pointless to swap defenseman when Dumba hasn't looked great since his injury and we're taking back deadweight with him.

Lol we need a guy like Foligno in our bottom 6 to add some size and grit. I do agree that dumba hasn’t looked amazing.

I also agree the getzlaf move is a no go. He’s not waiving to come here, plus we’ve spent way too much on rental 2c’s to justify another move like this.

I don’t mind the NJ trade as likely the top C’s are off the board by then. Lundell doesn’t fall past Minnesota. I’d rather have 18 and 20 and pick Zary/Lapierre there and a dman then have 10 and pick a guy like Lapierre/Zary there. The jets 100% are drafting a C in the first round. The only other ppl available at 10 that would be worth not trading down is Askarov (we don’t need a top goalie prospect) Quinn (we don’t need more scoring winners, also worried about him away from Rossi) and Holloway (again a winger that we don’t need more of)

Yeah, people overreact to a 4 game series where we were destroyed by injuries, but guys like Foligno can be picked up off waivers or signed as an FA. No need to spend assets on him.

The picks swap could maybe considered at the draft, but it would all depend on who is available and who we want. There are far too many variables to have a meaningful discussion on it now.
