Not interested in trading for & then paying a goalie just to either lose him/Kähkönen during the expansion draft or end up paying more just to keep him/Kähkönen. Especially when we really don't need any more bodies in net

Jets decline. Deangelo is just another undersized d that we don’t need whereas we need that first. Strome is going to fall back a lot without panarin so I want him signed to a contract before I trade for him (or at least have a decent price). Also, The only way I would trade for strome is if the jets use that 2020 1st on a center. Even then I probably look for cheaper options first

Strome did play some C with the rangers this season, more than he has in his career, but Im with you...I want an established 2C if that's what the jets are paying

I meant I would be okay with trading for strome (for much cheaper) as a stopgap 2c until whoever we draft is ready.
