Habs get Laf

Not enough for Laf. Habs gotta add Kotkaniemi and maybe Danault.

Most Habs fans have accepted that Laf ain't gonna be in Habs uniform for at least the next decade. They're all secretly hoping he pulls a Tavares when he turns 27 and decides to go home lol

To only answer I have to any Laf to MTL post now, is I'd basically throw any amount of players, picks, and prospect to get Lafreniere, all EXCEPT Suzuki or Kotkaniemi. Once one of those are included, I go back to day dreamin when Laf hits UFA lol

You're absolutely right, this is why it won't happen because the Habs would be complete fools to make a deal like this (especially from what we saw if Zuke and KK vs Pitts and Philly) and because NYR would be dumb not to draft a potential franchise player (regardless of needs and position depth). So yeah, this offer is not enough (I think its close tho) but it also makes absolutely no sense (for us at least). At this point, both team are in retool mode, Habs have a wonderful prospect pool to build on and Rangers have an even more wonderful prospect pool to build on with freaking Lafreniere to add to it so just keep it that way please haha.
