Description
Speculations that Laine may be traded to MTL are out there. They were asking for KK, but MTL will not trade him out. So I would go for this type of trade. Give them the center they need to max their face-offs in Danault, offer them a center that can play left wing and has good potential but is burnt in MTL, a goalie that can help their farm team, and some picks.

Some may say 1st overall or nothing, but Laine's time in WIN is up. Everyone one knows it just like Domi in MTL. So his value has gone down. Not much, but did. Hence a 2nd rounder this year, then another and 4th rounder for next year.

All players that went out against their own organizations, and would be better elsewhere.

No thanks, really like Danault and Domi but neither are enticing enough to part with Laine for especially considering their contract situations, the picks are okay but just that, only okay, if there was a 1st in there that'd make it a bit more interesting, as for McNiven the Jets have plenty of goalie prospects already and one that's coming over from Sweden for his first pro season in North America, they really have no need for another goalie that's likely ECHL bound anyway.

Not trading Laine in a four quarters for a dollar deal.

To say Laine’s time in Winnipeg is up, is an outrageous and completely baseless assumption.

Guess you have read 0 news for the past year... Laine has indicated wanting out on MANY occasions... Even a couple of news lately .. Laine said MTL would be one of the places he'd like to go to.. Not THE place, but one of the places.. Laine’s name showed up on TSN’s Top 20 Trade Bait Board this past week...https://www.tsn.ca/tsn-hockey-s-trade-bait-list-1.203546 look at no5..

You're going to say "It means nothing!" .. but Most of these are all players that have been in the news saying they are unhappy where they sit... And this board is on a reputable Hockey Site, not just a discussion board from some random fan site.

Doesn't mean he'll be gone, but I just went with this news and saw an opportunity to give them two centers they need. It's either that or a blue liner like Kulak or even Petry instead of Danault. Petry would give us space to sign someone like maybe Shattenkirk to replace him.

You need to offer less crap and more quality if you want a shot at Laine. The deal starts with Suzuki and Montreal's 2020 first and adds one more nice piece to get Winnipeg to notice you. If you're offering 6 dimes you won't get a dollar in return.

Listen... all how have shown here is that he’s on a trade bait board from Seravalli who even he has said it’s unlikely that Laine would get traded but if the jets WERE to make a big trade he’d most likely be the one to make a deal around. Also, I watch the jets I’m a fan, he has never made ANY Public indication about Wanting to leave. His only thing is wanting to play on the top line Minutes. Unless you can show me an article or quote about him supposedly asking to leave “MANY TIMES” over the past year, you’re just slinging BS.
