Detroit's not dealing a potential top 5 pick in the 2021 just to deal 2 years of Abdelkader. Rebuilding teams don't trade good picks. It would be at least top 5 protected.

I’ll give you a pass since I saw this in a Red Wings ACGM but I can assure you that one of the teams with the bast cap situations in the league will not be trading a top 5 pick to dump a contract
