Canucks decline easily.

I've said this so many times, but Montour is not the type of defenseman the Canucks need.

Nothing in that offer would make Winnipeg give it a second thought.

This is a bit absurd. you've manage to under pay every player by 10% except maybe hall if he's willing to come here for the same money as skinner. I think your going to need to spend to the cap for this team.
You've also done little to improve our defense, just because you remove risto doesn't mean we have another dman ready for top minutes.
Speaking of dmen, pilot left. No sign and trade there (definitely not for <1mil)our only hope is to trade his rites to another team who can convince him to sign.
On trades I think they're good offers but i dont think vancovers ideal deal is to haggle montour to a reasonable salary (most likely 4mil) or chase pilot on top of getting a new back-up (possibly starting goalie). The laine deal is ruff because it kinda breaks even. I don't know that laine helps jack more than Sam, he's better but to what degree? Is gonna fight hard in the crease for rebounds, dig deep pucks off the boards? Or are you gonna put 3 amazing finesse shooters on the same line so the ilse can box em out all game?
