I think a Tatar trade is an idea if they are not prepared to offer Tuna a deal and he’ll want 6 million but you don’t make this particular deal in my eyes

They do not fit on our 3 first line, and there might be one spot on the fourth, which we would prefer play some prospect. You are basically trading our BEST pointer for depth pieces... of which we can sign for 700000 in this market. We have better option for the PK... and the PP... Montreal may not have superstars on the team but we have a pretty deep team where every line contributes.

You are trading our best pointer at a 4.5M cap for 2 depth piece at a cap of 3.3M. One is scratched and the other on the fourth line... Plus we are getting a Center prospect while we have too many centers already.

I think Tatar is greater than Hoffman too
but I think overall we would be a more complete team by adding these 2 depth pieces despite taking a slight downgrade in Hoffman
Plus we would add Lavoie for the future
