Description
Move for cap space, while providing solid player for L.A. and giving Min a centerman they need to replace the ones that are not coming back. We need to sign Brassard for a proven Center with NHL ready experience able to memtor the young guys, then offer Hall a good contract. Don't know if he wants more or less years, I put up an even number of years. I'd offer a 10M$ 1st year, but balance it out for an 8.3M$/yr contract cap hit.

They certainly aren’t a contending team, although it’s probably not likely to be top 10 either.

Don't think we're overpaying.. Who know how Pittsburg are going to do next year. They are ok at G but not great; While they still have Malkin and Crosby, they should be between the 10th and 16th NHL teams. So it's not a bad pick and you don't need to twist Guerin's arm to make the trade.

There might be better options out there, but we haven't heard them yet through the rumor mill.

MN has enough rental centers for next season. If they want Danualt they can wait until UFA next year and pick him up then for just money and keep their pick.

Yeah would rather keep the 1st because it has a chance at being a better player than a 40-50 point defensive center that we don't need.
