Kahun likely gets from 2.5 - 3.5

I’d prefer him at 2.5 but could see him getting 3 easily

The same stat lines as Jake Virtanen and he's a better player. You are correct.

NHL GMs...

Do you really want young, 35-40 point depth scorer that can play every position and puts up solid possession numbers?
Oh you do? Well sh1t…..

As a pens fan, I think kahun is worth about 2.0-2.5 mil. HE has the potential to light up the lights on broadway.

Just gave him $2.5m. I think this lineup would be very effective, if this happened.

Given the recession and how everybody's cap hits are low this year, you could do better on those players with that term.

Kahun: 1x1, 1.5x2, 1.75x3, or 2Mx4 years.
Galchenyuk: same
Leivo: 1Mx1
Siegenthaler: yeah, fine, but want more term to minmize the crunch next year, even if it means going to 1.25 as rumored.

The issue is that giving away players on good contracts is tricky while UFAs can be found on good contracts. Does Arizona need Panik? Yes. With Hall leaving, they need to score goals. Does Vancouver need an RHD who has shown he can play defense? Yes. But it might make more sense to sign guys dirt cheap now, and then make those trades once there aren't cheap UFAs left who can play.
