Both of those are bad trades I feel. Bennet is not worth half as much as this. Soup is way better and I'd say Dermott's potential is worth more as well. Bennet just had a good playoff is all

Flames would never do Dermott and a 5th for Bennett, I do agree Leafs should not be trading Mikheyev though

Flames pass. Dermott is a #4 LD on Calgary behind Giordano, Hanifin, Valimaki.

Why wouldn't CGY, or some other team for that matter, simply offer sheet Mikheyev for say, $2-3M and pay a small pick in compensation? TOR can't match that price unless a contract gets traded out.
