Don't really see why the canes do it, but it's not as bad as Marner 2 mil retain for Letang, so I'll give yo credit for that.

Why do pens fans have this fetish to trade Petterson. Why not trade Crosby for Zetterberg, Malkin for Hossa, Marino for Jack Johnson, Guentzel for Marleau while we are at it

I like Pettersson. But with P.O-Joseph, in all reports, NHL ready. And now that we traded for Matheson(who I hope has a good season and gets drafted in the expansion draft), He is expendable. Even though he’s affordedable, a top 4 d-man, and only 24 years old. If we could bring Trocheck back to Pittsburgh(where he was born), and get B.Pesce for Letang, Petersson and Z.A.R, I think most Pens fans would say yes.
