No. Adding d on the left side was a legit option. The bruins didn’t want to do it. Adding third tier d men is not the way to go about it. Play the youth. The gamble has been made.

Vatanen would fit in almost anywhere. He is good all over the ice, plays both sides. At times, little bit of risk-taker, and has taken his share of injuries. He is good enough on power play for team like Devils, but wouldn't be #1 power play QB on Bruins. His defense is fine, never really been a liability expect when he was hurt.

Also, he wants to sign where he can golf. Not kidding. He is -1 golfer and wants to play regularly during season. FLA, VGK, TB, ARI, LAK, ANA....etc (those are just my guesses).

(-1 handicap is very good, for you non-golfers)
