Actually this idea has better line and defence management than what Mike Babcock offered to the Leafs.

Ok this is what bothers me about this idea. How would it work differently than a 2-3 offense? The center is basically a third defenseman and in the dzone he’s never higher than the puck. Why the need to have 3 defenseman on the ice when a center (f3 doesn’t need to be center just usually is) could just fill the role anyways. Just change the structure of offense.
