Description

It's no secret that Carolina needs an upgrade between the pipes if they want to further compete with the current core. The trade proposal for Kuemper is something I rounded off from what I've seen on "Canes Country" regarding this subject. Of course, this means that some salary has to be shed as a result; so Niederreiter is the cap casualty (how much it'd actually cost to move him...I could use some help here).

Kings have no interest in paying a pick for a bad contract. If they are taking on a bad contract for 2 years over $5M+ they will be looking for a high pick and a prospect. With the cap crunch and the shortened season buying cap space will be expensive.
