Change the First to a second or third and it’s a deal. PLD can replace DeBrusk right now and could be a solid 1-2 punch with Stud or Beecher in the future. Losing Vaak is tough but with Gryz, Lauzon, and Zboril playing well right now it wouldn’t be the worst loss. If CBJ was willing to do it I’d jump at the chance if I was Sweeney.

Edit: I neglected to specify which first. I would prefer the 2022 to become the second/third because I prefer the depth of the 2021 draft over the 2022 draft. Also, think about the forwards of the future with PLD:

So where's the Center that Jarmo wants in return for PLD, Yeah don't see Boston and Columbus being good trade partners here.

Firstly, Columbus says no because they are not getting a top end center as part of the return. Secondly, even if they said yes Boston needs the assets used to acquire PLD to help build up the team around PLD. Just does not work on either side.
