Description
Not sure on value. Skinner is younger and signed 1 more year but more expensive. He is also "injury prone".

Aho > Kapanen.

Murphy > Corrado.

Holland value is low.
2nd round pick is useful for CAR.

Retention on JVR fair?

I was thinking something around Murphy and Corrado+ then it ballooned to this lol...

Might be a fair trade but not sure why the Canes would do it. Skinner and Aho are regulars and Murphy somewhat. The only real NHLer the Canes acquire is JVR.. Holland and Corrado really just fillers. Kapanan who I like is a future has is a 40th overall pick.
Doubt if JVR's NTC includes Carolina.

I don't think CAR wants to move on from Aho at all and I don't know if this deal really makes a difference from Leafs standpoint

The only part that might interest the canes and leafs is Trading Murphy for Corrado but adding maybe a Lepsic. just for a potential upgrade if Murphy can gain a bit of confidence might be intriguing to the leafs.

I make this trade if I am Toronto. I have a feeling its a "no" from Carolina; however.

More so curious what they really think of Skinner. Of course he can score, but is he in their long-term plans given he already makes almost $6m? JVR signed for 1 less year gives them flexibility sooner.

Aho is very good. Not sure who to add from Toronto in this case. Probably just won't work.
