Sabres arent out of it, Theyre were like a point shy of top 4 with none of their stars going before they got quarantined

I did a Staal trade a week or two back. He has been my preference for a 3C ever since. I think he likely costs more though, especially if there is retention.

Sabres would have to completely implode to be sellers this year. If they sell, cant imagine a scenario where they do not trade Jack in the offseason. So, they are going to be buyers and doing everything they can to weasel their way into the playoffs

Yeah i wasn't completely sure what the deal would be. I just threw a few things, since we are pretty light on picks i don't see us giving away our 2nd from 2 years from now. Maybe another B prospect though. I don't think they will be able to get much more for a 36yo free agent center
