I honestly don't think Hall makes the team that much better than they are already. Could give JT's line a big boost but you would leave a big hole at 3C, Thornton doesn't play centre anymore. So you'd have Engvall or Maybe chucky there

Trade away your only two qualifying forwards and you have to start playing Malgin and Petan.

the leafs dont give up that much for Hall and the sabres dont get what they want for Hall
