This doesn't make sense for the Hawks unless Podkolzin is coming to the Hawks.

????? Makes no sense for the Hawks to take on 10m in bad contract. If Seabrook stays on LTIR his cap is meaningless to whatever team has him.

If Hawks are able to trade Seabs in some sort of move, it won't involve a true prospect coming back to them. They can take on a couple bad contracts for a year so VAN can have room to sign their young players. Meantime they won't have to worry about Seabs cap hit on LTIR.

If Seabs is ltir then why are we trading picks to take 10 mil on bad contracts? Vancouver adds not Chicago

But there isn't an issues with him on LTIR. Truly, there are a lot of teams that actually WANT someone on LTIR because it allows the GM to have one more tool in negotiating with RFAs. It's what Dubas did in TOR with Clarkson and Horton.
