I don't think he's available. Yes he's been bad but I could see BUF trying to transform him into a well rounded bottom 6 role player tbh

After being slow to develop as a 2C, he has been "reinvented" as a bottom 6 winger, who has shown more burst in lesser minutes and has actually played on the PK.

He is playing center now due to injuries to Eichel and Cozens and trading staal.

I wouldn't say he is unavailable, but he has shown this year he is an NHL player even if it looks like his ceiling is a middle 6 winger instead of a top 6 center.

    still 22 years old.

I think he's worth a late 2nd. Anything more and I wouldn't bite. He definitely has some value though.

If Sabres went to trade him, they'd probably get a return close to what NYR got for Lias Andersson.

Then it's a question about whether they consider him a complete bust or do they see some potential. If they do, they probably should wait on a bit before hastily trading him.

casey mittelstadt is an nhl player who is playing in the top 9 every night and on special teams.

Lias Andersson was sitting at home in sweden refusing to report to the AHL i belive.
