No I wouldn’t the point was the ask would end the conversation, a team that is rebuilding couldn’t make a trade like that yes they have the pieces to make it happened but it took multiple yrs of sucking to stockpile those pieces to trade them all away for McDavid and your still going to suck as there’s no talent left to support McDavid, like I said to make that trade you push the rebuild back another 3 yrs till you can surround McDavid with some talent to support him. We seen it here in Edmonton you can have the best player on the planet but he still needs a supporting cast to have team success. In a cap world you have to rebuild through the draft it just sucks for fans as it’s 3-5 yrs of pain.
