I can' wait for Seattle. I really hope they're about to change the game as we know it.

First off, I'm not saying this is the best NHL roster we can construct. But it's probably both the best one where no player costs more than a million dollar and one that would lead the league in points.

This is a team that beats Colorado 52% of simulations by an average of 2.50 to 2.40 . They're really strong defensively. They're not as impressive on the powerplay, and they need to stay out of the box vs a strong Avs PP. Mostly the 1-mil teams defensemen do a really good job of protecting the net-front. This does not translate as well to the PK.

While this may seem unrealistic, keep the lesser known players on here in your mind - it's pretty likely they'll improve any team they go to, and/or start producing pretty well at some point in their career. Most players are really defensively strong though - a famous market inefficiency, ready for a team like Seattle to take advantage of.
