He needs a surgery he believes has a recovery time that would let him be back quickly. Not sure that that is an injury worth worrying about. But if you want to worry then don't pay for a top 7 center and turn your team elite🤷🏼‍♂️

I disagree with your comment about Werenski’s defense. His work in his own zone is not bad, even quite impressive at times, and I’ve heard many talent evaluators say good things about his defense too. It needs work, yes, but he’s not a liability by any means.

Also, I don’t think that trade would interest Buffalo with Dahlin set to be their top LD for the foreseeable future.

Nothing is gained without risk. It may work, it may not, but bringing in Eichel is much more likely to help this team than not.
