Vince Dunn was on the block earlier this year so maybe after sad postseason those rumors heat up again. Can play both sides. Has playoff experience also.

Holtby gives us veteran experience with only 1 year commitment if it flops. Also we help Vancouver save cap space so we get a good deal. (Also helps us reach cap floor, especially if we take another contract on)

Bonino always seems to be on a winning team. Short term commitment again to see what he brings and if its worth it, we have cap to bring him back. Bringing in players who know how to win or are always on winning teams is important, the players have said they need to learn how to win.

Hakanpaa is a big body to fill the spot until Kevin Bahl is ready, prob hits free agency with Carolinas stacked blue line. Solid add imo, virtually no risk and he adds size and physicality until Bahl is ready. No long term commitment.

No long term commitments on these older players but also fill voids. Dunn also fits what we need perfectly, young, 24 year old (turning 25 in October), with playoff experience and youth. Added bonus can play either side. Leaves us lots of space to add at the deadline if we are in a spot to do so [ one can hope ;) ], and also lots of money comes off the books (Subban, Holtby, Bonino, Eriksson) (In total 22.8 mil comes off with just those 4 on-top of nearly 16 already) in time for a big offseason that will see Bratt Hughes Wood Zacha all need new contracts. Also plenty of room to bring any of those expiring guys back if they work out here.
