After seeing Bolts play with 17m over the cap how long before we start seeing book deals? Like NYR sign Landeskog to a 5.2m contract for 7 years 750k per. Landeskog also signed a 85m book deal with Dolan Enterprise.

Bonuses put you over the cap. Get rid of Gauthier and you’ll be good. Also, I doubt we’re getting Landeskog.

Wow. The book deal idea is way out there and you want to trade a 21 year old center with tons of potential for a 3rd or 4th line winger? LOL. Just what the Rangers need, more wingers, less centers. Plus, they definitely need another right side defender with Trouba, Fox, Lundqvist and Schneider already on that side.

NHL would strike that contract down in a heartbeat. That’s really just fraud, my dude.

TBL played $17M over the cap because they sat Kuch, and gave up assets for players they could put on LTIR.

The CBA explicitly prohibits that sort of thing, deeming it an example of cap circumvention.
