Description

The reason for signing all these vets and d-men is simple: Load management. In order for the Habs to make deep playoff runs, they need depth. and they need experienced depth. Allen helps Price. Getzlaf, Staal Perry, help the young kids. Creates a good locker room environment as all these guys are winners. Now none of these guys can play 82 games and be effective, but you can give them 50-60 and have them play fulltime in the playoffs. Habs re-sgin Deangelo for 1 mill. not 2.

I wouldn't touch DeAngelo with a 10 foot pole and don't think the Habs would either.

Werenski would be a tough get. The draft pick will be late and don't know if Romanov or Poehling would be considered elite enough to make up the difference

Werenski deal needs more value. Your pick is late in 21 so change it to 22 and then change some of the prospects. I would think CBJ would want one of your top Centres in any Werenski deal.
