Description
Tampa needs cap space. might have to add a prospect or pick going the other way but could pry a 1st from them which can be used to create oiler cap space in moving neal while keeping their own first for either the deadline or draft.

other signing anderson can be a could goalie and know what you are getting for the most part vs a younger gamble.. could work well in tandem with smith.

then needed to ad LW and LD for better depth. via Free agency

Bouchard is given more time on PP to grow in to offesive role while Mcleod learns shut down game but can slide into Center for injuries as well for flexibility.

This should also give enough space to resign nurse and JP for next season keeping the main core together.

If Edmonton could turn Neal into Johnson I think that would be good because even though Johnson has an extra year on his contract he is a much better player

I agree this is still very much wishful thinking...

let me break down what this trade would be Tampa Bay sending Killorn johnson and a 1 for Cooper Marody a 3 and to pay The uninsured portion of Klefbom's contract You are crazy !!
By taking Gaborik and Nilsson all TB did was save Melnyk 3.2 mil in actual dollars Nilssons contract wasn't insured 2.6 mil and Gaboriiks i think was 85% 600k and opened 2 contract spots for Ottawa

i dont think i am far off they tried all last year to move johnson no takers. so most of the 1st goes towards moving his 3 years.
even with that they are very tight to the cap so a 3rd andm marody for killorn IMO is a decent return for a cash strapped club.

They will probably still need to find some LTIR money like this year for increased flexability so give you 4 mill in cap relief is pretty darn good and makes up for the rest of the first for johnson....
if you need to add a later round pick or AHl prospect be my guest but dont think im that far out

I really don't think TB is going to be as cap strapped as everyone thinks. I really believe Hedman misses the first 4 months of next season
