I mean, do they really need him? U got lindgren-fox, Miller is probably gonna get the 2nd pair LD spot. I don’t think they need him, unless they wanna have him for a year, and have Miller on the bottom pair to shore up his game more? I can see it, and I like the return.

I don’t think NYR is the place for Rielly. I’d imagine Lindgren and Miller are their top 2 LD.

I would, however, be interested in a Rielly to EDM deal centred around Yamamoto. Maybe Kerfoot and Mikeyev could be added as a replacement and a depth guy/McDavid speedster partner. And then a pick or picks from EDM to balance.

I don’t know how Edmonton’s left side looks next year. This deal doesn’t happen if Klefbom is back though.

EDM’s lack of blue line depth was exposed, in the playoffs especially. Rielly adds a better guy to the back end as well as a new PP QB if Barrie walks. Kerfoot and Mikheyev add depth up front, which is also an issue in EDM. I think I like it for EDM.

For Toronto, they get a guy who kind of reminds me of a lesser Brad Marchand. I could be wrong about that but either way I like the guy. They also get cap space and a pick or picks to replenish the ones they’re missing.

I would put Rielly with Trouba and Miller with Lundkvist.
