Even though the Oilers are in the market for a LW, I'd highly doubt they'd pay that type of premium for a questionable Drouin(really hope he's ok and continues to get better).. And also, if Weber was left exposed, doesn't matter who else is available Seattle would be taking him 100x over, leadership like that doesn't grow on trees, it'd be worth the bigger caphit(but also not as much actual money going forward too)..

Even if the price was low, I still wouldn't take Drouin. When you're planning on spending to the cap it makes it very difficult to plan if you have a contract that you're not sure if it's a top 6 winger or LTIR... or potentially on and off. We already have to deal with the uncertainty of Klefbom.
