1. Detroit have no problems hitting the cap floor.
2. With cap dumps the assets go the other way.
3. Juolevi isn't good enough to play in the NHL and Detroit isn't short of AHL calibre defenders.

Gourde would be a perfect fit, but I'm not sure Benning will add a 29 year old in a key position like 3C. A younger option that lines up with the Pettersson - Horvat age range would be preferred. I think Patrick would be a great option, but there's a lot of risk involved in that considering his health.

LMAO this is Benning we're talking about. He'd likely add a 35-year-old plug to be 3C let alone a decent 29-year-old forward
