Description

Leddy has 1 year left at 5.5m and will be a great asset for someone to flip at the deadline. Hes worth way more than a 6th but the isles cap situation gives them little leverage.
Seattle will probably take Koivula in the draft and it makes sense for them to get Aho (someone who is prob ready for an NHL role, a 3rd, and Komarov (1 year left but everyone says is a special locker room presence and would be great for a 1st year team) to give the isles a bit more room.
Hickey also has a year left and LA makes sense as his original org and a team he can provide depth for for 2 mil and a little sweeteners.
Contract projections are based off evolving hockey's projections besides Palmieri who im betting on taking a discount to win here. Hes 31 and keeps saying he wants to come back and win with this team

Detroit obviously knows the Isles have cap issues and will use that leverage. Leddy for a 6th isn't bad or anything but there's risk Leddy doesn't play well in Detroit or gets hurt and has little or no value at the deadline. Just don't think Wings are interested in acquiring players/cap that don't fit into their future unless they're getting a good future asset to do so regardless if the player still has some value or not.
