Saad at 4.5 - he was at 6 AAV last year and didn't regress at all?

We couldn't protect Graves any more than you can.

From what I've heard Saad loves living in Colorado, I hope he takes a team friendly deal, probably with a NMC. If he wants more the Avs could go after another UFA, I hope he stays though he's a great fit on the team.

6 wasnt a good contract. He didn't regress in Colorado, but hes not worth 6. Especially when he's barely a top 6 wing on the team. 4.5 is decent.

Value wise that’s a fair Rakell trade. Both players have had very good seasons and both players have been so-so since. Problem is Graves just doesn’t fit a need. Ducks strongest position is LHD. So in the end I think the ducks pass.
