Hes fine offensively, stars just had injuries and aren't the most offensive team, and even then he managed to almost be a PPG in last years playoff run and be a legit Conn Smythe candidate at 21 in his 2nd season

If he signs today he's looking at an 8x8.5 kind of contract. If he waits for Makar to sign & set the market, that number pushes closer to $9M or higher IMO (depending on what Colorado pays Makar).

He won't make Makar money, but he's also not going to make significantly less than him either. If Makar gets a $9.5M AAV contract from the Avs, I'd be shocked to see Heiskanen take a contract less than $8.5-8.75M per year.
