Description
Trying to have a logical think through IF Landy walks. (Not advocating for not signing him). I would imagine the Avs get very active in FA to fill holes.

Assuming:
EJ does not go anywhere and is not on LITR next year. If he is hurt, that is a $6M plug the Avs can play with
Frankie is bought out/traded out. I went for trade to MTL, who will prob loose Allen. I could see the team trying to save a little by having JJ play or signing a cheap FA.

Signing - Used Dom Luszczyszyn's article on cost

Makar - $9.5mx7 - I hope it stays under $10

Saad - $4mx4 - Dom has him at $4.5 x 3. I added a little extra termSchwartz - $4.5x3 - Dom has him at $4.75x3PEB - $1Mx1 - Having him and Newhook switching out if the team is healthyLarsson - $3.4Mx3 (Dom's number) - I LOVE this signing. PK's / supports the kids / perfect 3rd pair that can play top-4 if EJ is hurt.

Trade out / Expansion
Donskoi - My best guess for ED - Seattle will need goals from somewhere
Compher / Graves to Arizona (+ a sweetner) for Garland

if he walks, I dont think you sit newhook, he is the 3C and Jost is the 4C. Dont sit your top prospect/nhl ready guy for bellemare.

You spread his money around. If hes projected to be asking 10m like Doms model, they you use it to sign saad and Coleman at the price of 1 Landy and beef up the top 9

Garland will get much more than that, and likely wont end up on the Avs. He will also want a big payday. Don't think its a good fit.

Not sure Schwartz either works out great.

I can't help but think that Coleman is the second coming of Dave Bolland. Had a few good seasons while playing on the best team(s) in the league, got a big contract, then disappeared into obscurity. He might be doing well in Tampa, and would probably do fine on an equally impressive Colorado team, but does a bottom six guy really deserve a $4M+ payday?

Feel like we'd have to up the value in the trade as well. Coyotes taking on $6 million and losing a top-6 forward. The prospect or pick has to be better

perhaps he is, but it doesn thave to be Coleman, just get another middle 6 guy. If Landy walks and you get 2 top 9 fwds for the price of his cap hit. Might be better off.
Like Saad and Janmark for the Price of signing Landy
