Description

If the price is right, I'd be willing to try a reclamation project in Ristolainen. He's 1 year from UFA so he would have every motivation and opportunity to prove he isn't a horrendous +/- player.

Armia has a proven record with Copp and Lowry. I'd like to see him back in Winnipeg.

Perfetti would not benefit from going back to junior after playing effectively in the AHL last season. I know Maurice likes his proven veterans but Perfetti and Heinola have to be able to learn on the fly and have have an organization that tolerates their growing pains.

Niku has no value. You’ll waive him if you can’t trade him, and then buffalo can have him for free if they want them.

Montreal protected Armia so they must plan on
re-signing him, Armia hated Wheeler so doubt he'd come back to Winnipeg unfortunately, would love to get Armia back but it likely isn't happening, can't imagine he'd be too excited to play with the stonehands brothers again either.. Lol

I agree with you on this one. If Ristolainen comes at a fair price I'd say give him a shot. This looks to be a little on the high side value wise, but I could live with it.

I'm also down with giving him a chance. He can't be much worse than he was last year. He doesn't have to come to Winnipeg and be "the guy" like he was asked to last year.
I probably wouldn't play him with Stan, but that's just me.

Like everyone has said above, I am totally okay with giving Risto a chance...I feel like I'm in the minority saying that though. A 2022 2nd rounder and Niku is the identical trade I have been offering as well! Also, I would LOVE Armia back in WPG but since they protected him I feel like he re-sign's in MTL
