Las Vegas is a team with cap concerns, so it would be idiotic for them to include any of their minimum-level-contract NHL-quality defensemen (Coghlan, Hague or Whitecloud) in any trade. Moreover, this trade isn't cap-negative for the Golden Knights, but actually adds cap even if you subtract Hague.

Guessed the first two trades correctly Mikheyev, Engvall, Dermott. Surprised Rielly wasn't in...oh the forth trade. Still surprised no Kerfoot... oops the fifth trade...

Kerfoot isn’t something we need, other teams do however. Also, bringing in McCann was specifically to protect Kerfoot or have a kerfoot back up. So likely Dubas isn’t shopping him.

Lilj has been very slow getting to NHL level, don’t see us wanting him if it means losing a guy we specifically traded up to get. Last time we traded up for a Dman it was K’andre so I would say it’s safe to say there’s no chance this happens

Value wise it’s probably just fine but there’s a vision with the guys we draft so it’s unlikely we steer away from that unless it’s for a big piece
