Description
Even with bridge deals and conservative contract extensions, LA wouldn't be able to fit Kaprizov under the cap without severely hamstringing their future. The Kings would go from being a team with an ideal cap situation to cap hell.

Don't really disagree w/ you but could probably make it work if they really wanted to. Cap is rumored to go up by $1M next year and at least another $1M the following year. Could also let Brown go unless he wants the vet min and play Rasmus over him. That would make you whole for '22. Then Quick comes off in '23.

Yeah, wild doesn't, aren't doing this. Wild don't need to trade kaprizov. Kaprizov like other restricted young players want to get paid. So no from wild

I’m a believer that MIN will retain half of they move Kap while he’s on a 3 year deal. Or at least could of the return was good enough. You start with Turcs and a 1st, I have to think that’s on the table.

Extensions coming up to players like Bjornfot, Byfield, Kaliyev, etc. are going to eat up all the money from contracts falling off the books. They could probably sacrifice some contracts to make it work, but they would be in cap hell and have zero flexibility.

The question is, does Minnesota want to pay what it takes to keep him, or are they offering him that, it he just wants more/straight up doesn’t want to be there?
