Description
I think this is interesting because it probably feels light from LAs perspective and heavy from MINs.

My assumption is that it’s a bit light, but how much more is needed? I assume LA would need at least one proven player, but i do feel like the value is pretty solid here. Probably needs tweaking, but what are your thoughts?

I should note, I don’t think Guerin would ever do this, and I’m not sure I’d even want him to. I think Lambos was a steal. But I’m just curious on a futures package for Gabe.

Honestly, I think it depends on whether they see him as a wing or a C.

Agreed. I think at this point, it would probably take an overpayment to pry him out of LA, since there’s a lot of incentive for them to just wait and see what he’ll project as. Seems like a big year for them to gauge his longer term role.

If LA is set on competing this year they would want players that make them better immediately if they are giving up a player who hasn't met his ceiling. Good prospects would have been the trade a few years ago during their rebuild, but they want to compete with the division being as weak as it is.

I think LA only moves him for the top pairing left handed defenceman that they're looking for. They have a ton of prospects so adding more doesn't really do anything.

Also, Kaprizov at 5 years x $9M isn't going to do it. He reportedly turned down offers of 7 years x $9M and 8 years at the same dollar amount. He wants to get paid or he'll just go back to the KHL.

Kinda what I figured, but my understanding is that they’re pretty weak on LD futures, so I was thinking there’d at least be some enticement in Lambos, whose ELC would align with the Byfield/Turcotte arc.

Kap at 5x9 is what has been predicted by Russo as of this week. Not saying it’s right or wrong but if anyone knows approx what they’re close to, it would be him.
