If that’s the price of Ekholm or Forsberg, the Bruins would probably want in on at least one of them

I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s the going price. Nash can’t afford a competitive rebuild-that’s how you get the Houston/QC Coyotes

I think I’d want Ekholm over Forsberg given our team needs. Would be willing to give up Vaakanainen (younger replacement with potential) a 2022 first, 2023 second, and John Moore as a cap dump.

Solid agm ✔

Cousins probably valued more around a 5th imo

With a reduced $ Ekholm that NYR 1st could be very very late so I think it's a pretty good for a very useful but non elite player around age 30

I think Ekholm makes a lot more sense with the NYI as opposed to the NYR. NYI have a big hole at 2LD that Ekholm would fill perfectly. A similar trade would makes sense -- Bolduc instead of Robertson + picks.

For Forsberg, I'd want to get someone other than Bellows going back -- not that high on him. I think he tops out as a 3rd liner. I think there are other teams that could offer a better prospect for him. It's not a bad offer, but I just think they could do a bit better elsewhere.

Overall, not bad though.
