Description
I want a sabres fan to tell me what Eichel is worth and then why, ive seen some of the things posted here and no one can actually give a straight answer.

Whats he worth cause frankly i have no idea anymore.

ive seen as much as 3 prospects and 3 first round picks as well as 1 nhl level player
And seen that that wasnt enough

Ive seen the offer be as little as 1 nhl player 1st and then 1 high end prospect

Everything is declined by the people i see in the comments.

Can i get a straight answer.

In my opinion hes not worth what buffalo is asking, straight up.

A not quite point per game player with Average or worse defensive stats, and still hasnt even gotten above a 50% faceoff rate 1 time in his 6 year career.

hes exceptional, but amongst the top talents in the nhl he hasnt shown hes anything above that step.

Hes not a 100 points per season player yet like Mcdavid or Draisaitl
hes not a 40 goals per season kinda player like matthews
hes not defensively exceptional like Bergeron
he literally hasnt made the playoffs so he could be the phenom that Kucherov is

Can someone just lay it out clearly what you think hes actually worth.

The straight answer is 2 NHLers (forwards, or a D vet/cap dump), an A+ forward prospect, and a 1st, + depending on the NHLers value and prospect value. Everyone keeps trying to pass off D and goalie prospects that Buffalo already has enough of, thats why trades get rejected. Its really not hard, no one wants to actually read the criticism though, and because its easier to get rid of d prospects than forward prospects

LA Kings have the package they can use to get him. Lot's of high end center prospects, cap space so no need to add salary dump player, Top10 1st Rd picks.

So say then Hypothetically the Toronto Maple leafs for instance gave up

Kerfoot Ritchie Robertson and a 1st and a 2nd. thats the criteria you just listed to the best of the ability
2NHLers the leafs Top Prospect who put up 55 goals and 86 points in 46 games with the petes a 1st and a 2nd

Ignoring the money cause of course the leafs have none. that is what you are asking for no?

Kings were out the minute they signed Danault long term. Kopitar-Danault-Byfield in any order is a solid top-9 where Byfield drops off his ELC as Kopitars contract ends.

LA isn't interested anymore since they acquired Danault. They don't have much cap space left either, certainly not enough to absorb Eichel's full contract.
