Description

Not that the Habs are looking to shop Toffoli after his Phenomenol year but they need a center maybe he is a better asset than the carolina picks, especially for a win-soon team like the canucks? I think the signing of hoffman makes Toffoli expandable.

Would the canucks want to trade Miller for Toffoli? For me, player for player, this is a pretty even trade, but begs the question if it's worth it for the canucks to complete.

Reason for:
1. Toffoli played great in Vancouver and loved his time there.
2. cap hit is 1M cheaper than Miller and might move the needle just enough to sign Hughes and Pettersson to long term contracts
3. Signed to an extra year.
4. More of a goal scorer than Miller and better on PP.
5. Showed in Montreal he can play both wings. Could play with horvat and Garland or could play with pettersson.

Reason against:
1. Losing miller means Petterson will have to take his own faceoffs.
2. Not as impactful on the D-zone as Miller is.
