Description
I like it - two better players for bottom 6 and 1B roles, and 3 mil more cap space for the deadline. IMO worth a late 1st.

Koskinen and Turris are only one more year, so I don't think they should move a 1st to dump those contracts. The cap space is nice, but isn't necessary for this season with all the moves EDM has already made.

100% agreed, not worth giving up a 1st round pick for cap space this year...

Maybe. If the Oil can get a nice player on top of these better players with that extra cap space for a run, imo could be worth it. Understandably, a risk. But the key here for me is this is not just a dump of cap - Reimer and Cogs are both better support players for a cup run too.

You don't EVER give up a first unless theres a good player coming back or you're creating cap space to sign a good player. Neither Cogliano or Reimer is a good enough player to justify a 1st.

Agreed, I don't even think this is going to be that late of a 1st. I could see EDM missing the playoffs all together. Seattle and Vegas are already ahead of them in that division, and LA added some good pieces. Vancouver got Garland, OEL is meh but better than Keith.
