I thought McNiven was having a better camp than Primeau.

Fairbrother and Xhekaj fly under the radar but they are also having good camps. Neither will make it but both are only going to get better.

I said last year Xavier Ouellet wasn’t that good and was only getting so many looks because Joel Bouchard and ouellets father are extremely close as friends. Laval will have good d-men and I wouldn’t be surprised if ouellet eventually finds himself playing for Bouchard again.

That's over half of a team on IR. Ouch.
5 forwards 5 defense and a goalie.

They probably sent down McNiven because he’s fighting for the backup spot in Laval, whereas Primeau’s Rocket camp doesn’t matter because his spot is a lock. They’ll probably send Primeau down once Montembeault arrives anyways.

Yeah, I like how Xhekaj has played. I think he’s in line for an ELC and a spot on Laval’s top 6 D.

I agree. Laval will have good D. If I was Norlinder’s agent I would advise him to play in Laval to get used to the rink size. He’s probably going back to Sweden for another season, then will need to get used to smaller rinks all over again next year.
